In a moment of divine grace for millions of devotees, the much-awaited spiritual biopic Shree Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj has finally received its censor certificate and is now scheduled to release in theatres on 29th May 2026.
The film, which beautifully captures the divine life, teachings, and leelas of the globally revered saint Neem Karoli Baba (also lovingly known as Neeb Karori Baba), stars Subodh Bhave in the lead role. Adding profound spiritual depth to the narrative is acclaimed actress Samikssha Bhatnagar, who plays the female lead as Siddhi Maa — one of Baba’s closest and most spiritually evolved disciples.
The Sacred Role of Siddhi Maa
Siddhi Maa held a very special place in Neem Karoli Baba’s heart. Baba had immense affection and reverence for her pure devotion and often recited verses in her praise. After Maharajji’s mahasamadhi in 1973, Siddhi Maa became a beacon of light for countless devotees. She lived a life of utmost simplicity and humility, silently spreading Baba’s eternal message of unconditional love, seva (selfless service), devotion, and constant remembrance of God. Many devotees regarded her as the living continuation of Maharajji’s divine energy.
Samikssha Bhatnagar has approached this role with deep reverence and spiritual sincerity. She expressed, “Portraying Siddhi Maa is not just an acting assignment for me — it is a soul-stirring journey. I feel immensely blessed to bring to life the pure devotion and grace of Siddhi Maa on screen. Maharajji’s teachings have touched my heart deeply.”
About Samikssha Bhatnagar
Born on 12 January 1988 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, Samikssha Bhatnagar is a talented actress, trained classical dancer, and singer. She has graced both television and cinema with her graceful presence and emotionally rich performances. Her notable works include popular shows like Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera, Uttaran, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Baal Veer, and Kumkum Bhagya. She made her Bollywood debut with Madhur Bhandarkar’s Calendar Girls and later starred opposite Bobby Deol in Poster Boys.
Her classical dance background and spiritual inclination make her a perfect choice to portray the divine feminine energy of Siddhi Maa.
A Victory of Faith
The film’s path to release was filled with obstacles, including prolonged delays at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). After submitting under the Tatkal category, the makers had to approach the Bombay High Court to seek justice. Director Sharad Singh Thakur stated that the certification finally came through after the court intervention, calling it “a victory for faith and truth.”
The film is produced by Balram Garg, Balvir Singh, Sharad Singh Thakur, Khadag Singh Gaur, and Neelam Singh, and presented by Anisha Films International in association with PC Jeweller and BSR Film Productions. It also stars Hiten Tejwani, Hemant Pandey, and Aniruddh Dave in important roles.
As the release date of 29th May approaches, devotees across India and the world are eagerly awaiting this spiritually uplifting film that aims to spread Neem Karoli Baba’s timeless message of love, compassion, and surrender to the Divine.
Jai Shree Maharajji 🙏
