Abu Road, September 29, 2025 – In an inspiring session titled “Exchange of Experiences” at the Brahmakumaris National Media Conference, Ganesh Joshi, Additional Zonal Coordinator of the Media Wing, praised journalists as vital truth-bearers shaping society. Held at the organization’s Shantivan headquarters, the session brought together nearly 1,500 journalists from across India, who shared transformative experiences and credited Brahmakumaris for teaching them to apply spiritual wisdom in their professional and personal lives.

The intimate session created a heartfelt atmosphere, with participants reflecting on the conference theme of fostering peace, unity, and trust as enduring societal values. Journalists expressed how Brahmakumaris’ teachings empowered them to integrate knowledge and meditation into their high-pressure profession.
Kanubhai Acharya, a President’s Award-winning senior columnist from Disa, shared, “Hearing the term ‘journalist sage’ on day one filled me with joy. Brahmakumaris signals us to be wise. Nothing is purer than knowledge, and this institution teaches us to apply it. My first visit here made me feel this is paradise—a glimpse of Satyug.”
Surendra Singh Dongra, Delhi Bureau Chief of Himalini magazine from Nepal, recounted, “For over two decades, I’ve attended these conferences, finding immense joy. When the world’s eyes were on Nepal during turmoil, people sought refuge at Brahmakumaris’ Pokhara center, proving its message of peace prevented violence. With 78 centers across Nepal’s eight zones, I feel blessed to be here.”
Vishal Yadav, Editor of Janmantra News from Raipur, emphasized balance: “As a field journalist for 12 years, I’ve felt the pressures that make us react impulsively. But seeing the sisters’ sacrifice and austerity here sparks positive change. To learn balance in life, come to Brahmakumaris. Only this institution can host such events, teaching the art of living.”
BK Shashikant Bhai, a senior journalist from Disa, reflected on history: “Since 1978, when I first came, Dadi Prakashmani Ji was Chief Administrator. BK Karuna Bhai trained us in media for three months. Dadi Ji praised our work, saying positive media transforms society. For 43 years since 1983, these conferences have continued. With 16,000 articles published, I’ve seen journalists embrace meditation and bring peace into their lives.”
Ganesh Joshi passionately stated, “Journalists wield their pens to influence and enlighten society by presenting truth.” Recalling former President APJ Abdul Kalam’s visit to Gyan Sarovar, Joshi shared, “Kalam realized why India never invaded others—our spiritual strength, evident here at Brahmakumaris.”
Prem Kumar, General Secretary of the Bihar Shramjeevi Journalists Union, expressed regret: “I ignored earlier invitations, assuming such conferences were routine. Coming reluctantly this time, I now regret arriving so late. Visiting Pandav Bhawan and learning about Brahma Baba’s journey showed me his dream, which we must realize. Seeing all faiths united here is inspiring. Support truth—we’re journalists because of good karma.”
Presiding over the session, BK Sarla Didi, Vice President of the Media Wing, shared the institution’s vision: “Our goal is for journalists to live joyfully despite their stressful work. Your words can change the world with divine help. Our action plan emphasizes overcoming weaknesses through Rajyoga meditation. We wish you leave as embodiments of peace, shaping your destiny for lifetimes. Be role models for all.”
Participants engaged enthusiastically, posing questions on meditation to deepen their understanding. BK Yogini Didi from Ajmer skillfully moderated the session, ensuring a vibrant exchange.
As the conference concludes today, September 30, these shared experiences underscore Brahmakumaris’ profound impact on journalists, equipping them to foster a peaceful, united, and trustworthy society through their craft. Stay tuned to Go Spiritual News for more insights.
