Brahma Kumaris’ Secretary-General & Chief Spokesperson, 92-year-old Rajyogi B K Brij Mohan Bhai, passes away

Delhi NCR : The Secretary-General and Chief Spokesperson of the Brahma Kumaris organisation, 92-year-old Rajyogi Brij Mohan Bhai, passed away on Thursday at 10:25 AM. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Manesar, Delhi. He was unwell for sometime. His mortal remains will be kept for public homage on October 9 and 10 at Om Shanti Retreat Centre, Gurugram, and the final rites will be performed at Brahma Kumaris organization’s international HQ Abu Road, Mukti Dham on October 12.

Born on January 7, 1934, in Amritsar, Punjab, Rajyogi Brij Mohan Bhai graduated in Commerce (Honours) from the University of Delhi in 1953 and obtained a Law (LLB) degree in 1955, before being a qualified Chartered Accountant in 1956. He came in contact with the Brahma Kumaris in 1955 and had risen to become Secretary of Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation, a sister organisation of the Brahma Kumaris, and a member of the Apex Committee of the Brahma Kumaris. He also headed the Accounts Department. He was a profound spiritual orator and expert on the Bhagavad Gita.

From an early age, Rajyogi Brij Mohan Bhai was inclined toward spirituality and studied numerous scriptures. After coming in contact with the Brahma Kumaris and learning Rajyoga Meditation, he underwent complete transformation. He took to celibacy and dedicated his life and services for public and world welfare.

After serving 17 years in the Fertilizer Corporation of India (A Government of India Enterprise), he resigned from the post of Finance Manager in 1973 to fully dedicate himself to the socio-spiritual cause of the organisation.

He represented the Brahma Kumaris in several global conferences as a keynote speaker. He also represented the organisation at the United Nations conferences in New York. His global service extended to Russia, USA, Canada, South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, South-East Asia, and Caribbean countries, spreading the message of Indian culture and spirituality.

Rajyogi Brij Mohan Bhai had a great passion for the Bhagavad Gita and studied it in great depth and devotion. He firmly believed that the essence of life lies within the Bhagavad Gita which wisdom could awaken souls and inspire spiritual transformation. He was known for presenting highest truth in simplest forms and words.

As one of the strongest pillars of the Brahma Kumaris, Rajyogi Brij Mohan Bhai Ji served the organisation for over six decades. He was an excellent speaker, writer, guide and spiritual mentor. His passing away has created a vaccum very difficult to fill up.
