Brahma Kumaris Celebrate Vande Mataram – Swarnim Bharat: Honoring Inner Strength and Exemplary Service on International Women’s Day

On the auspicious occasion of International Women’s Day, the Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Centre at Gyan Vigyan Bhawan, Derawal Nagar, Delhi, hosted a profoundly inspiring program titled Vande Mataram – Swarnim Bharat. The event united more than 500 participants in a harmonious blend of spirituality, cultural expression, and heartfelt recognition of outstanding service to society.

Rajyogini BK Chakradhari, Chairperson of the Women’s Wing of the Brahma Kumaris, delivered an enlightening address, reminding the gathering of the exalted and respected position women have always held in India’s glorious heritage. She beautifully articulated that while modernity often measures development solely by material progress, genuine empowerment emerges only when inner transformation complements external achievements. The practice of spiritual knowledge and Rajyoga meditation awakens divine virtues, builds deep inner strength, and enables individuals to remain balanced, tolerant, sensitive, and spiritually elevated in every circumstance. With soul-consciousness, she emphasized, divisions based on gender, caste, religion, language, and colour naturally dissolve, ushering in true universal harmony.

BK Sudha, Director of the Brahma Kumaris Centre in Moscow, Russia, and recipient of the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, spoke with deep reverence about the sacred vibration of Vande Mataram and the shared vision of a Swarnim Bharat — a Golden India. She highlighted that constructing an elevated, complete, and world-leading nation requires purity and cleanliness in both the external world and the inner realm of thoughts and emotions — a dream that resonates with the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. The subtle secrets of spirituality, she noted, illuminate and purify every facet of human life.

Shazia Ilmi, prominent BJP national spokesperson and respected leader, shared how the Brahma Kumaris’ teachings of spiritual knowledge and Rajyoga meditation provide a powerful foundation for strengthening personal, family, and social life. She openly shared that she turns to Rajyoga meditation in moments of stress, finding it a steady source of inner peace and resilience.

The program also included insightful contributions from local MLA Ashok Goel Devraha, Timarpur MLA Surya Prakash Khatri, and former BJP MP and women’s leader Sunita Duggal, who underscored the essential role of spiritual values in empowering women and nurturing a harmonious society.

A deeply moving moment of the evening was the conferment of the Vande Mataram – Swarnim Bharat Honour upon 20 distinguished individuals for their exceptional contributions across various fields. The honorees included Shazia Ilmi, Sunita Duggal, Sumit Kaur Kapoor, Dr. Deepak Chawla, Lakshmi Krishnan, Milli Aishwarya, Dr. Nisha Siddharth, Dr. Kamlesh Makhija, Dr. Neerja Gupta, Gargi Lakhanpal, Ruchi Anurag Telang, Pandit Sunil Badoni, Anita Malhotra, Dr. Akanksha Vidyarthi, Suchi Bhutani, Pandit Lekhraj Kohli, Rewa Payal, Banita Agarwal, and Dr. Satish Makhija — each one a radiant example of leadership, compassion, artistry, healing, and selfless service.

The program commenced with a soulful Shiva Stuti dance performance by renowned classical Kathak exponent Pandit Lekhraj Kohli, joined by Rewa Payal, followed by a vibrant and patriotic Vande Mataram group dance presented by Swastik Kala Kendra.

BK Lata introduced the Brahma Kumaris organization, sharing its worldwide mission of spreading peace, purity, and spiritual empowerment. The event was gracefully hosted by renowned motivational speaker Dr. Aditi Singhal, whose warmth and eloquence uplifted the entire gathering.

This memorable celebration beautifully embodied the Brahma Kumaris’ timeless message: authentic empowerment begins within, through the practice of Rajyoga meditation and divine virtues, illuminating the path toward a peaceful, pure, and golden future for Bharat and the world.
